Before you contact me about owning Miniature Donkeys: Please read

*  They are not guard animals or companions for goats.  They have different feed requirements and should not graze on lush grass or be fed alfalfa.

*  They are not lawn mowers and should not be kept on grass.  Feeding twice a day is best, fed on a dry or sparse lot.

*  I will not sell any donkey unless it will have a donkey companion of the same sex. I will work hard to find a second donkey if I don't have one.

*  I will not sell a jennet and jack together- two girls or two geldings are the preferred pairing.  I will only sell breeding jacks to a farm with at least 3 jennets

*  You must have shelter and a small area to contain them prior to purchase.  If you plan to pasture them on lush grass, donkeys are not for you.

*  Donkeys are easy keepers and form strong bonds with their donkey friend and owners.

We breed Registered Miniature Donkeys on our 15 acre farm in Central Texas. Raising Miniature Donkeys has been a passion since 2004.  Our breeding program includes spotted, red, gray, black, brown, and frosted spotted whites. Our jacks give us a variety of color matched to the right jennet.  Our donkeys are registered with the ADMS, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and receive regular hoof care.  Each donkey comes with its own halter and lead, and I will complete the paperwork for you.  We make this easy, and are always here to help answer questions and assist you as needed long after you bring them home.

Come visit our donkeys and see for yourself how affectionate, lovable, hugable, laughable, and rewarding owning Miniature Donkeys can be.  We are located off I-35 about 50 miles north of Austin.

Pet Quality or Show Quality?   We get a lot of calls looking for a "pet quality" donkey.  Well, technically, they are all pets.   If you are purchasing a pair of donkeys and think you might like to show, or have your own foal someday, look for excellent conformation and disposition.   Donkeys can live over 35 years or more, so your investment is small over the life of your donkey.   If you have no desire to have a future foal,  geldings and older jennets make wonderful pets and are usually less expensive than breeding jennets.  Foals sell quickly, and are not weaned until they are 5-6 months of age.   We never sell a foal without another donkey companion, preferably one the same age.  We also will not sell a jack and jennet foal together.  Jacks breed at a young age, long before the jennet is old enough to safely breed and this combination does not work.

Our boys are gelded before they leave our farm to help insure they have a good life as calm, friendly pets.   We assume the cost and risks of surgery, not you.  We also microchip, worm, halter train them, and process the registration or transfer forms and cover those fees.  We want the very best beginning for you and your new donkeys.

Give us a call to schedule a visit.  We are just 2 miles off I-35, north of Austin and south of Waco.  254-913-5925
